For the Nortel lab 10 project, their last big project before the crash, and my biggest install, that was cut. The labs theme was light as in fibre optic data transfer. I suggested a series of large globes equidistant through the primary spine of the complex to symbolize photons, and pulses of data, as part of my complex set of graphics in this space. It would have been a prize, I still have the art.
… I also proposed, for the pond in front of lab 5, the campus entrance, a three dimensional globe with its ‘graphic orbit’, ‘floating’ in the middle of the pond.
