I have worked with Ryan Johnson for many years as a team member on a National Sign Plan program for the Parks Canada Agency.  Ryan provided competent, knowledgeable experience in the development and design of a system of “way finding” signage for five Mountain National Parks.  This system of wayfinding signage paved the way for a consistent and systematic approach to the implementation of this program.  The systematic approach developed by Ryan remains current and continues to be implemented today. The agency has invested more than $5.0 million in funding to this program. It has been a pleasure to work with Ryan.

Professional Industrial Designer of Environmental Graphics

Ryan has been engaged within the professional practice of design for nearly three decades. He has spent twenty-three years focused on the venue of environmental graphics. During this time, Ryan has been a freelance designer, an employee or associate of a global architectural firm, two federal organizations and independent consultancies.

His experience is extensive, ranging from quick conceptual design efforts with budgets of $1 thousand, to national signage programs with build budgets approaching $20 million with over six years of design.
